VITALIA Westlake Employee Appreciation Day

The thing I love most about our team is our commitment to the daily discipline that leads to continued growth over the course of time for ourselves, our departments, and most importantly the community as a whole. Our ability to collaborate and work together excites me for the culture we are building at Vitalia Westlake. I believe at the heart of all of our team members is an openness and willingness to do whatever it takes for our residents and teammates.

I am tremendously proud of our team’s ability to band together in times of adversity to ultimately take care of our residents and each other. Just recently Northeast Ohio was slammed with 15+ inches of snow and we had multiple team members and department heads spend the night to ensure that regardless of the snow and the road conditions we had staff on site ready to provide services around the clock for the entirety of the snowstorm. In addition, we had multiple team members spend hours digging cars out of the snow and getting them unstuck so that they could drive home to their families from work.

We are going to celebrate our employees by providing a meal on all shifts as well as having fun games throughout the day for them to win prizes. Throughout the year I will send handwritten cards to our employees for birthdays and anniversaries, mailing them to their homes. I’ve found that employees are just like all of us and enjoy opening up an unexpected card in the mail.

Just like building the foundation to your house, building a team and culture is a brick-by-brick, day-by-day process and I am extremely proud to be a part of such an amazing team that is willing and open to commit to the process of making Vitalia Westlake the best community that it can be.
