Volunteer Opportunities in Memory Care

Volunteering in the Vitalia Westlake Memory Care Neighborhood can be an incredibly rewarding experience. Our Neighborhood caters to individuals living with many different types of dementia. Volunteers play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for our residents.

From providing companionship to participating in stimulating events, the opportunities for volunteers are meaningful and endless. Let’s delve into the various types of events you, as a volunteer, can participate in within our Memory Care Neighborhood.  

Some examples of volunteer engagement opportunities in my Neighborhood include outings, crafting sessions, and afternoon downtime.

Volunteering brings enjoyment and satisfaction from spending time with our residents and making a difference in their lives. Having volunteers in the Neighborhood introduces new faces and types of engagement.

Kim, one of our volunteers, brings her therapy dog, Bellini, to visit. These visits provide a unique form of engagement beyond the residents’ normal routine.
