Vitalia Senior Residences at Westlake Shares a Note of Gratitude

As I reflect on the last year, I am filled with gratitude for the challenges and successes we have faced and accomplished as a community. I am grateful for Arrow Senior Living giving me the chance in December 2021 to join the organization and I am grateful for Vitalia Senior Residences at Westlake and our residents, families, and staff that welcomed me with open arms. I am grateful for the continued support and teamwork we have developed throughout 2022 as we look to finish this year strong and welcome 2023 full force ahead. We have such an amazing group, and it is a privilege to lead our community.

When I reflect on 2022 it is hard not to be grateful and remember the exciting events we celebrated as our community began to open following all the COVID lockdowns. It was truly amazing inviting families and loved ones back into the community to celebrate Easter and when we kicked off bringing back our Sunday brunches with the celebration of Mother’s Day in May. Getting back to a sense of normalcy really allowed us to highlight all that Vitalia Westlake has to offer.

Throughout all the adversity that COVID has brought I am continually impressed and proud of our team members who step up and enter the front lines and continue to provide great support and care to our residents and loved ones. It takes a village to operate a community, but it takes an aligned and committed village to work together to ensure our residents and community is taken care of. From culinary to wellness, housekeeping and laundry to administration, resident services to residents, and our memory care neighborhood, our ability to align and work together this year makes me grateful to all department heads and frontline team members who truly make our community run day in and day out.

We are so fortunate to have Fox Therapy as our therapy partner. They are truly an extension of our Westlake community and treat our community and residents with such great care and compassion. I could not imagine working alongside any other partner and look forward to our continued success. All of our community partners play such an instrumental role in our success and services, and we would not be where we are today without their commitment and compassion for our residents and the city of Westlake.

We are excited to welcome additional events, outings, and larger group gatherings in 2023 for our residents, staff, and families. We are excited to work with our residents and plan events that may have been forgotten in the past two years and make up for lost ground!
