I didn’t have the pleasure of being a team member of the Vitalia Senior Residences at Westlake community last year, but from the photos I saw and stories I heard, it was a beautiful and enjoyable time. Many of the residents and staff just adore this time of the year to share their joy of the season, but most of all, the events that bring everyone together.
We have several team members that have had the pleasure of being a part of the Westlake team since the beginning. They have indulged me with many joyful stories of how the interaction alone with the residents and family brings them joy, including how our Culinary Director plays Santa Claus and the Plant Operations Director being the Grinch.
The entire team loves to participate in the events during the holiday season. They welcome the extra time they get to spend with the residents in different settings caring for them, but also engaging in making new memories for them.
This upcoming season we are so excited for wonderful events we have planned, such as Story Time with Santa and several different holiday-themed Happy Hours. We have such beautiful singing voices and talented hands that play the piano in the community and are looking forward to daily Christmas caroling. Most of all, we look forward to coming together, not just as a community, but a family.
